Method

Serve the cooled scones with the orange mascarpone cream.

Mix mascarpone, icing sugar, orange juice, and zest in a bowl.

Bake for 15 minutes until well risen and golden-brown.

Place rounds on a baking sheet and brush tops with beaten egg.

Pat the dough to 2.5cm thick on a floured surface and cut out six rounds.

Blend in chocolate and milk until the mixture forms a dough.

Pulse flour, salt, butter, and sugar in a food processor until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

Preheat the oven to 200°C.
