Method

Pour 50g of golden syrup into the base of each basin.

Beat the butter, sugar, and cocoa powder in a mixer until fluffy.

Mix in half the eggs and half the flour until combined.

Butter the inside of two 1.2 litre pudding basins.

Add the remaining eggs and flour and mix until the batter reaches a dropping consistency.

Divide the mixture between the basins, filling each three-quarters full.

Cover loosely with cling film and microwave on high for five minutes.

Check with a skewer and let stand for five minutes before inverting onto a plate.
